Bagheri Kani underscored that expansion of bilateral ties is an undeniable necessity for serving the two sides interests and plays a pivotal role in fostering peace and stability in the region, countering unilateralism, as well as intervention of trans-regional countries in regional affairs.
The most important issues of mutual interest in the bilateral, regional and international arenas were addressed in the meeting.
The two sides also exchanged views on ways to develop and expand political relations, including high-ranking delegations, holding joint commission on economic cooperation and the trade council with the aim of promoting the level of trade, as well as Indian investment in Chabahar.
The two senior officials also exchanged views on regional and international issues, including Afghanistan, countering terrorism and opium, International North-South Transport Corridor as well as the ways for fostering multilateral ties in the frame work of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization.
